Privacy Policy
PC Reseller Workbench is a multi-tenant inventory, CRM, sales, email-marketing, and marketplace-integration platform for computer resellers. This policy explains how information is handled when a reseller company uses the platform and when that reseller connects an external service such as eBay.
Information we process
Depending on the features a reseller chooses to use, the platform may process:
- Account information such as name, email address, company membership, role, and authentication data.
- Inventory information such as asset identifiers, serial numbers, hardware specifications, photos, pricing, listing status, and sales records.
- CRM information such as company records, contacts, notes, communication preferences, and marketing-consent status.
- Email configuration, templates, campaign history, suppression data, and delivery-related metadata.
- Marketplace information obtained through authorized integrations, including seller-account identifiers, listings, orders, fulfillment data, and seller notification events.
eBay account authorization and data
When a reseller connects an eBay seller account, authorization occurs through eBay's OAuth sign-in and consent process. PC Reseller Workbench does not request, receive, or store the reseller's eBay password.
After authorization, the platform may receive OAuth tokens and eBay data that the reseller has authorized the application to access. This may include seller-account information, listing identifiers, order identifiers, line items, fulfillment status, buyer/order information made available to the seller through eBay APIs, and webhook notification events.
This information is used to provide reseller-requested functionality such as market pricing, listing reconciliation, order-event processing, inventory updates, sales records, and fulfillment-related workflows.
Credential and token protection
Sensitive integration secrets and OAuth tokens are protected using application data protection mechanisms and are not displayed back to users after storage. Reseller marketplace credentials are scoped to the reseller company that configured them.
Tenant isolation
PC Reseller Workbench separates reseller-company data by tenant. Normal reseller users are authorized only for data belonging to their assigned reseller company. Platform-level administrators may access reseller-company data only as required to administer the service.
How information is used
Information processed by the platform is used to:
- Authenticate users and enforce company and role-based permissions.
- Manage inventory, CRM records, listings, sales, and customer-delivery workflows.
- Send account, operational, and authorized marketing communications.
- Connect to reseller-authorized marketplace and service-provider accounts.
- Receive and process marketplace notifications and maintain operational/audit history.
- Secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the platform.
Sharing and disclosure
Information may be transmitted to service providers or marketplaces when necessary to perform a function requested by the reseller, such as sending email through the reseller's SMTP provider or communicating with eBay APIs. Data is not intentionally shared between unrelated reseller tenants.
Data retention
Operational records may be retained while a reseller account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, audit, accounting, contractual, or legal purposes. Resellers should apply their own retention requirements to CRM, inventory, sales, and marketing records maintained in their tenant.
Disconnecting eBay
A reseller may disconnect or revoke eBay authorization. Revocation prevents future API access using the revoked authorization. Records previously received and required for legitimate sales, audit, security, or operational purposes may remain subject to applicable retention requirements.
Security
The platform uses access controls, tenant scoping, protected credential storage, HTTPS in production, and other technical safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.
Privacy requests
Users should direct requests concerning reseller-managed customer or CRM information to the reseller company that controls that information. Platform privacy or security inquiries may be submitted through the organization operating PC Reseller Workbench.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as platform functionality, integrations, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted at this URL with its effective date.
